I must confess that I've fallen in love with Valentino's ready to wear Fall Winter 2011/2012 retro inspired hairstyle and make-up.The overall look is incredibly put together, sophisticated yet easy and simply... pretty! Everyday elegance I believe is what's defines best the Valentino show.
"It's a little bit Catherine Deneuve, a little bourgeois, and very Valentino", said Redken's hairstylist Guido Palau when asked about his inspiration for creating the look.

Catherine Deneuve| Redken's Velvet Gelatine
To achieve this look, the hair was blow dried using Redken's Velvet Gelatine, giving a texturized thickness to the hair. After center parting the hair, a low ponytail was created, while concealing the elastic ribbon with a small section of the hair.A thin black velvet headband or a black ribbon completes the look.
Other hairstyles that I currently like are really quite understated yet bourgeois and chic: medium length and voluminous or creating a look by adorning the hair with a simple, neutral color and opaque barrette.
